Upgrading a Toshiba laptops video card can be done by updating and upgrading the drivers for the video card. Unlike desktop computers, laptop video cards are integrated as part of the laptops motherboard. The only way to change the video card in most Toshiba laptops is by changing the motherboard and that could easily cost more than a new computer. If you want to upgrade your video card, you have to download and install the latest drivers for the card.
  • Go to the Toshiba Support website (see References) and then click the "Download" tab at the top of the screen.
  • Click "Laptops" in the section of the screen that appears after clicking on the "Download" tab and then select the series and model of your Toshiba laptop computer. Click "Go" when youve selected your specific computer.
  • Download all the drivers available for download with "Driver Display" as the "Category" and then install each driver once its finished downloading.
